Security information

We take precautions to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, their information is protected both online and off-line.

When our reservation order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - Secure Socket Layer (SSL). While on a secure page, such as our payment form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when users are just surfing.

All online credit card transactions are processed via eCard S.A. (a joint-stock company whose current shareholders are ComputerLand S.A., BRE Bank S.A. and WBK Bank S.A.), one of Poland's premier debit and credit card merchant transaction acquisition and processing companies which has relationships with major credit card companies (currently Visa, Mastercard, and American Express). Polandstay.com does not have access to nor store your credit card numbers. eCard only sends us an approval or disapproval.

eCard's payment processing services rely on an IT system with the highest level of functionality, reliability and efficiency run by top level experienced professionals in the realms of security, the Internet, e-commerce, finance and banking.

The eCard System complies with 3D Securetechnology, which is a new technology for internet transaction processing prepared and adopted by both Visa and Mastercard.

While we use 128bit SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Finally, the servers that store personally identifiable information are in a secure environment, in a locked facility.
