Castles (operating as hotels)
Yes, you really can stay in a Castle! There are quite a few historic buildings throughout Poland (castles, palaces, and manor houses) that now operate as hotels. Often, the number of guest rooms is quite limited (e.g. no more than a couple of dozen rooms) giving these locations the feel of an exclusive and intimate hideaway.
They are usually situated in attractive surroundings - away from the hustle and bustle of the city and set in the midst of large parks and/or landscaped grounds. Rooms are usually well-furnished and an attempt is made to retain the decor and feel of the original period. Many of these hotels also have conference/banquet facilities - making them ideal locations for private meetings "away from it all".
