What is the procedure for applying for a business visa to Poland?
Apply for a business visa at your local Polish consulate/embassy. Documents which need to be submitted currently include:
(a) Passport (must be valid for 12 months from date of issuing the visa).
(b) Completed application form from your nearest Polish Embassy or Consulate (Where is the closest Polish Consulate or Embassy?)
(c) 2 passport-size photos.
(d) Proof of current citizenship (and/or evidence of immigration status in country of residence, endorsed in current or previous passport (if applicable)).
(e) Application Fee (check with the Consulate where you are applying to get the latest fee information)
(f) Letter from applicant's company or organisation stating the purpose for the visit, job description, duration of employment, etc.
Some websites with additional information include:
- Fragomen
- e-Warsaw
- Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington, DC

If you are a Polish citizen (i.e. hold a Polish passport) or a citizen of any EU country, these requirements are generally either waived or considerably simplified. Likewise, if you are planning on an extended stay (more than 90 days in one calendar year) or need a business visa to actually work for, and receive compensation from, a Polish company in Poland, there may be additional requirements. Contact your local Polish consulate for more details.
